JT worships with Three Rivers, a group that is reclaiming and reinventing Quaker practice for current times.

Three Rivers is "an open and affirming, Christian, Quaker ... unapologetically queer community ... welcoming diverse theologies and identities."

JT is part of a rich network of spiritual friendship that spans the US and Canada.

Many of these Friends convene at the FGC Gathering, an annual week-long event in North America.

A native of California, JT was formerly the co-clerk to the Young Adult Friends of Pacific Yearly Meeting.
